After the MBA, it took more than a year of crazy international travel to start officially dating, in August 2019 (when Thayná was doing an externship in Rome). That's also when Thayná visited Friuli for the first time!

Over the years we travelled a lot across Italy, for holidays or our friends' weddings (there has been a lot of those, recently!). We have visited Sicily, Costiera Amalfitana, Ischia, Puglia, Rome & Lazio, Tuscany, Milan, Langhe, Lago di Como, Dolomiti, and, of course, Friuli. Thayná learned enough Italian to be able to communicate with Dani’s family and order her vegetarian food!

In February 2020 Thayná managed to drag Daniele to “bloquinhos” (Carnival street party), waking up at 6am to get covered in glitter, and start drinking just after breakfast. It was just before Covid pandemic started.

After 6 months apart due to COVID restrictions, Daniele managed to come to Brazil. Then we met in Croatia, where we stayed for two weeks before entering Italy. We fell in love with a small town called Motovun - great wine and truffles!

In 2021, Daniele came to Brazil for a temporary 6-months transfer, which he extended for 3 more months... and then made it a permanent transfer! We made Rio our home, Dani actually learned to speak Portuguese fluently and fell in love with Rio’s beaches and mountains (for climbing).
